Process: We came across the idea of fruit when we were deciding what to
give the 50 descriptions of. We liked the idea so much that we decided
to incorporate fruit into the whole project and use a video to get the
messages across.
Synopsis: This is a short video about a banana man and an orange girl.
The banana man is confident in himself regardless of what anyone thinks.
He decides to eat a banana, even though he himself is a banana. He
finds a friend in orange girl who he can relate to because her teeth are
an orange and he is a banana. The two fruit people sit together as
other people go by and judge them, but they do not care.
Catalogue: We show perspective with the long shot of banana man and
orange girl sitting on the steps as people walk by. The metaphor is "you
are what you eat" in this case a banana eating a banana. The double
entendre is the image of a banana holding a banana. The multi-frame
takes place in the very beginning with the 3 shots of banana man making
his way to the steps. Framing of the image is shown when banana man
looks over at the banana sitting on the step. Life and death is
represented by a living banana eating (ending the life of) another
banana. The 50 descriptions of a pineapple are listed below.
